9 DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A FENG SHUI CONSULTANT
August 2:
On site business consultation with a new client--a fashion stylist-- for her home office and studio. Exciting potential and possibilities for her!
Afterwards, to Fubonn mall for Vietnamese lunch with long-time client/friend (who has fabulous inner Feng Shui with such a positive mindset) touching base on our project in Guam followed by traditional Chinese massage—ahhhh!
August 3:
Preparing red envelopes with fresh orange peel circle for myself, Gregory and some of our cherished neighbors for a big homeowners meeting where I do the ousting mudra again and again.
August 4:
A breakfast meeting with another long-time client/friend to review her new business card to make sure it’s Feng Shui savvy as well as moving the chi around stuck contracts for her business. She bears a most kind gift and I feel so grateful.
August 5:
Languorous lunch at Dragonfish with dear friend then off to see the film “Golden Flower and the Secret Fan” (have to say loved the book so much more).
A wonderful date night with my husband including dancing at www.SomaSpace.us and so very proud of the owner who used Feng Shui to help transform the space -- she’s another ideal client who did everything on her Feng Shui to do list! Make a promise to myself that I must dance much, much more!
August 6:
Fresh water for the fountains, fishes and plants. Feeding the birds.
August 7:
My Day of silence, rest, and restoration. A bath with purifying Tibetan herbs to wash away anything that’s “stuck” to me that I don’t need. Cleaning the altars and refreshing the offerings. Sleep. Meditation.
August 8:
Note to self—make sure to do Feng Shui cures for signing papers for our refinance in a month not so great for signing contracts.
Choosing auspicious dates for my own business projects. Watched an episode of HGTV’s “Selling New York”--always creative marketing ideas for sellers. Booking new consultations and ceremonies. Preparing content for my “Feng Shui Meets HGTV Style Shopping Day”. Shipping Feng Shui cures out to places far from Portland.
August 9:
A super-fun blessing ceremony along with the Taoist ceremony “opening the eyes” of their pair of foo dogs (purchased at www.lotusantiques.com).
Wonderful omens during the ceremony: a bird flying into the home (symbolizing bringing good news) and the phone which usually rings constantly, didn’t ring once the entire time except when a request for a particular kind of Helpful Person was requested, the phone rang with that resource on the other end!
A photo from a new client of her newly painted home office in the suggested colors—so beautiful and exciting to me how quickly she’s taking action on everything from her consultation.
August 10:
Adding new material to my book on Kuan Yin devotions. Researching some Taoist rituals.
The night at www.lansugarden.org for the launch of the Empress Wu’s Women of Infamy Giving Circle—so many wonderful women, old friends, new friends, qi gong next to the lake at dusk, sparkling jasmine elixers, scented night air.
Delighting in the news of one of my friends/client’s huge national exposure with her perfume (www.40notes.com) and another with her lowered blood pressure due to her taking more Yin time in her life!

Thanks for sharing. I never thought about that things. 9 DAYS IN THE LIFE OF A FENG SHUI CONSULTANT - Cool!
