Here was one of my days from last week:
5:30 am: Up early to prepare for my day—offerins at my altar, meditation, prayers and qi gong. Then packing my bags with cinnabar, my mala, red envelopes and so on. I’m wearing a red envelope with a fresh orange peel inside, a protection amulet and red jewelry.
10:00 am: A consultation for a returning client who wishes to focus on Feng Shui for romance, a bedroom suite make-over as well as a quick look at what 2010 is bringing as she’s a zodiac animal in conflict with this year’s Tai Sui.
I share mundane and secret Feng Shui cures from my teacher, Grandmaster Lin Yun, and receive my payment in “Hello Kitty” red envelopes! I leave after making a plan to help prepare her for the coming Year of the Tiger.
12:45 pm: Out to the ‘new’
I visit a little shop where the owner and I get into a conversation about Kuan Yin and he’s so kind to gift me with a beautiful art calendar with her image. Then to Fubonn to pick up some exotic fruits for my home shrines and then Serenity Tea to get some beautiful cups for the tea ceremony at my upcoming February events.
3:00 pm: I meet another returning client, a realtor, to do clearing and blessing ceremonies for a condo unit she’s selling. First we do a walk-through and I give her a ‘to do’ list of necessary chi adjustments and staging ideas. She also has to do cures to alleviate the intense negative energy from the neighboring building. We review the Secret Real Estate Cure which she’ll do tomorrow. We bless the space with fresh and dried orange peels, Tibetan and Chinese incenses, Tibetan bells and other beautiful rituals from my tradition.
7:00 pm: Adding more content to my Chinese New Year rituals book—have been doing very exciting research this year on ancient rituals for the God of Wealth, the Wishing Tree, the Money Tree and traditions for business owners during the spring festival.
9:00 pm: I take a purifying bath and do a special ritual with the red envelopes I received before sleeping.
Isn’t that a glorious day? I love my work so very much!
