Double Happiness: Feng Shui for Love, Romance and Passion
1. Create a loving and sensual sanctuary for passion.
I can’t tell you the number of bedrooms I’ve been in that are stark white, cold and barren. Then, on top of that, the room is full of photos of dead people, piles of laundry to fold, treadmill and stacks of office work. Instead, please think “sleek, sexy hotel vibe” or “Moroccan” or “Balinese spa” or “Hollywood Glam” or whatever is romantic for you. In Feng Shui, bedrooms are used only for sleep and intimacy—that’s it!
It’s an extraordinarily loving act for yourself and/or the two of you to clear all the clutter (especially under and around the bed). Remove the television (talk about a distraction of time and energy away from your partner!) And let go of any bedding, mattresses, objects or clothing from past lovers or spouses.
Deep clean with aromatherapy cleaners. Finally, clear any stagnant energy with fresh air, incense, bell ringing.
2. If you’re seeking a romantic relationship…
Walk the path from your front door (Mouth of Chi) to your bedroom and clear any clutter, replace any burnt-out light bulbs and make this passageway as clear and beautiful as possible for love and relationships to easily enter your bedroom and life. Make sure that the door to your home and bedroom open full to 90 degrees; that the handle isn’t loose; and the door isn’t stuck so all romantic opportunities have an easy time reaching you! And no twin or trundle beds, have a queen instead, o.k.?
3. Put yourself in the field of happy lovers.
Go to lots of weddings as well as hang out with happily married folks to absorb their fantastic and happy chi! Grandmaster Lin Yun says the chi of two people on their wedding day is the highest chi in the universe! There is a most-wonderful ritual called “Receiving Auspicious Marriage Chi” which the devotees of the temple did with me and Gregory when we were married by him and it was very, very moving.
4. Raise your own chi and open your heart—wide.
Remember that chi attracts chi so lift your up with dancing, singing, acupuncture, prayer or reflexolgy. Wear bright and sparkling jewelry and crystals as well as alluring scents.
If you want someone in your life who is happy, satisfied, generous, sexy, sensual, passionate, kind, funny, YOU be that, too! Energy attracts like energy.
Have a gathering of loved ones (see my blog for super tips on having a Feng Shui Valentine’s Day Party!)
See the “Metta” meditation below—it’s fabulous for opening your heart to the size of an ocean!
5. Create a collage or vision board of images that speak to your ideal relationship that you want and keep this in your bedroom and gaze on it often. If you’re already in a relationship, this would make a great ‘date night’!
6. If there has been fighting or a divorce or you’re experiencing blocked or stagnant chi in your relationship or having marital problems…
Then there may be a design detail such as an exit door in the bedroom or a missing relationship corner. I encourage you to have an on-site or telephone consultation with me and learn the secret transcendental cures to support a strong marriage such as the “Four Red Ribbons Marriage Cure” and the “Thousand Mile Marriage Strung by a String”. You should also have me help you clear the negative energy and bless the space. Please visit www.10KBlessingsFengShui.com or ring me at 503.747.3463 for details.
